A rendering at the Centre of Tallahassee hints at the next puzzle piece to the mall’s resurrection — posh apartments with resort-style amenities. Plans are underway for a four-story apartment building. Sleek and modern, preliminary designs illustrate units more commonly found in metropolitan cities: stainless steel appliances, raised ceilings, three courtyards, a five-story parking deck and a bottom deck dedicated to retail, a party bungalow with a covered barbecue area, a stage and a lounge. One pool will be anchored by day beds in each corner; an effervescent Jacuzzi is dubbed the “champagne pool.” Tenants can choose from 17 floor plans that range from studio to three-bedroom apartments; some overlook the grounds.
