From bleak and tired to refreshed and fun
When the Ann Arbor chapter of the Girl Scouts asked a local remodeling franchise for an estimate on sprucing up their kitchen they got a surprise: DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Ann Arbor donated a complete kitchen makeover.
“We are already a proud sponsor of the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, so we knew what we needed to do,” says Bob Ender “Anything to keep those cookies coming.”
Sherwin Williams of Ann Arbor, ProSource of Romulus, Snider Electric and Big George’s, also helped with the project, adds Lee Willwerth.
“We know that Girl Scouts is about community service and we want to thank DreamMaker for making our world a better place. They did so much more than we expected,” says Jan Barker, CEO of Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan.
DreamMaker Master Craftsman Sean Dugan donated his time, skills and materials to make the Girl Scouts dream of a fresh kitchen a reality, and the scouts thanked him with a GirlScout Woodworkers Patch.
“Sean’s first badge makes him DreamMaker’s only Girl Scout Certified Craftsman,” says Ender.
Three years ago, the Ann Arbor franchise won the company’s “Enhancing Lives Improving Homes” award for their dedication to remodeling homes for persons with special needs, especially seniors and disabled veterans. “We believe in superior service to our customers, our community and to each other as members of the DreamMaker team.”
Both Owners, Bob Ender and Lee Willwerth, have a passion for giving back to their local Ann Arbor community. They said, “We call Ann Arbor home and feel fortunate to support local organizations through our business.”
