Howell affordable housing apartments will move forward

A proposal for a $21 million affordable housing complex —  the source of friction between residents and local officials since its inception nearly three years ago — is moving forward.

The Cornerstone at Howell Family Apartments will be a 72-unit complex for low- to middle-income families, helping the town meet its state-mandated affordable housing obligation. The project is spearheaded by Barnegat-based developer the Walters Group.
