Local housing construction got off to an impressive start in 2018 compared to last year — and it’s expected to stay hot for the next few years. In January and February, there were 94 new housing starts in the Kamloops area, up from 12 over the same time period in 2017, according to data from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
