About 2 miles away from UCF’s main campus and across from Econ River Wilderness Area, Legacy Pointe at UCF, set to open in mid-2020, will be a luxury life-care retirement community that will include independent-living apartment homes and villas, an assisted living facility and a nursing home, all in one location. The model is called a continuing care, or life care, retirement community. Residents pay an entrance fee and then a monthly fee in exchange for a home, amenities and health care.
