While “This Old House” has racked up 18 Emmy Awards since its inception in 1979, the PBS show highlighting remodeling projects has never ventured into Detroit. That will change during the show’s 37th season, when the show highlights a 1939 Russell Woods home, according to a news release. The Detroit-based episodes will span 10 of the season’s 26 episodes, which are expected to air in March 2017 on PBS. “The Detroit episodes will present the city’s housing situation in a new light, as residents and leaders are finding the best ways to reclaim and restore their community homes,” Chris Wolfe, the show’s executive producer, said in a press release. “Our team is honored to take part in these efforts in this landmark city.”
