Sellers’ housing market: How smart sellers are getting home buyers to pay a higher price

Home sellers are eager to get the highest price they can – but they might not always know what features will attract a premium. That’s why Zillow crunched the data on 4 million home sales during the last two years to figure out what convinces buyers to pony up. The top amenity? Steam showers. Properties with listings that mentioned these enclosed showers – which can be used as steam rooms – sold for 29% above their expected value, after considering the size and age of the home, their analysis found.
