A study has ranked Sioux Falls as the best city in the country to buy and resell, or flip, houses, but a slowdown in real estate there may change that soon. The study, released by Wallethub.com says Sioux Falls has the advantages of low home remodeling costs, high home turnover rates, and a good quality of life. Broker Associate Craig Fields with Hegg Relators in Sioux Falls says while that may be true, potential buyers should still be cautious of flipping houses. He says a hot housing market earlier this year that made it easier to profit is starting to cool. Fields says a $100,000 house bought in February could be worth 130,000 now. He says realtors in Sioux Falls don’t see that lasting for long; a house on the market six months ago got a lot more attention than it would now.
