A new study finds home remodeling is a hot topic in Florida right now.
According to Fort Myers News-Press, new research has revealed the states most eager to fix up their homes, with Florida ranked fourth for biggest desire to revamp their properties.
The study, conducted by real estate company New Jersey Real Estate Network, analyzed 50 different search terms related to remodels, such as ‘bathroom remodel’ and ‘kitchen remodel’ over the last 12 months.
These searches were then scaled against local populations to determine which states are the keenest to make home improvements.
Why is home remodeling popular in Florida?
According to the findings, the Sunshine State averaged 423 searches per 100,000 people each month, which was 38% higher than the national average of 306 searches per 100,000 residents.
The most popular terms Floridians searched for were ‘bathroom remodel,’ ‘kitchen remodel’ and ‘home remodel.’
Residents in Florida averaged 23,108 monthly searches for ‘bathroom remodel,’ which is a 108% increase from the 11,075 average monthly searches for ‘kitchen remodel,’ indicating demand for bathroom fittings and fixtures will be significantly higher in the state.
