‘Vintage Savannah’ shows restoration, renovation on HGTV

For two of Savannah’s designing women, an opportunity to share their knowledge of home restoration, renovation and design will be showcased during their own 30-minute television show starting at noon Thursday. The pilot of “Vintage Savannah,” hosted by Leah Bailey and Linn Gresham, will air at noon and 12:30 p.m. on HGTV. Ratings are important to determine when and if more of the series will air. Bailey is a Savannah native and Gresham is from Birmingham, Ala. Both are graduates of Savannah College of Art and Design. “These are pilots,” said Bailey. “We have not been picked up for a series. These are pilots for a potential series. It’s imperative that people watch so that the pilot has good ratings. Hopefully the network will pick it up and we will actually have a show.” Television is an interesting process, Bailey said. “We did not name the show. HGTV named the show. It was important to us to make sure Savannah was included in the name. From that, the network decided how to complete it.”
