A 190-unit senior housing complex will replace a vacant shopping center that has been called an “eyesore,” in the hub of the township’s business zone. The Zoning Board of Adjustment on Monday granted unanimous approval to Baltimore-based Brightview Senior Living to build the one- to three-story facility, at 1139 Hamburg Turnpike. In its current state, the 9.6-acre property is occupied by a 66,400-square-foot empty building and vast parking lot.
